Dr. Ali Ahmed Shafik

Dr. Ali Ahmed Shafik is professor and chairman of colorectal department, Kasr Al Ainy faculty of medicine - Cairo  university. He graduated from the faculty of medicine, Kasr Al Ainy, Cairo university in 1991. He was appointed as a resident physician in the same college and then a teaching assistant. He obtained a master’s degree in 1996, then he specialized in colorectal surgery, as well as anal surgery. Since then he got training in endoscopic surgeries at the University of Strasbourg, France – and was appointed head of the anal and colon surgery unit in Kasr Al-Ainy hospitals in 2019 until now – then a diploma in gastrointestinal endoscopy from the University of Strasbourg, France, in 2000.
