Cairo American College is a fantastic institution and is well recognized worldwide. At first, my wife and I had decided on the British system for our daughter and after one year switched to CAC - this is not to say that the British system isn't any good, we just felt our daughter would perhaps adapt better to a different system. To our good fortune, our daughter adapted very well to CAC almost immediately... it's not just our daughter that loves it, all of her friends love it as well. CAC is very much focused on nurturing the strengths of the child while anything that is noticed as being out of the ordinary is take very seriously - each individual child means a great deal to them and if anything is observed that the parents should know about, the issue is professionally communicated to them and the parents are invited to participate in getting things back in line. The American system is extremely focused on sports and this is likely the most competitive part of CAC. PE and team sports is something the kids spend a lot of time doing and being competitive is taught early on. The campus is spectacular and very well maintained and the new elementary building was just completed and will be operational for the forthcoming school year. Only parents, students and CAC personnel are allowed on campus and the school is very safe. In the last two years i've met dozen of parents - i could not tell you of one that had something bad to say about CAC.
