About Dr. Hamed Seleim:
Dr. Hamed Seleim was born in October 1979 and graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in November 2002. He was among the outstanding graduates and occupied his position as a resident and then an assistant lecturer of pediatric surgery in the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, until April 2007 where he completed Master Degree M.Sc. in Surgery with excellent grade.
He joined Abu Reish University Hospital to practice advanced surgical techniques in this specialty until he completed an intensive training program and was able to obtain the European Board Certificate in Pediatric Surgery from the European Union of Medical Specialists - Glasgow - United Kingdom - No. 1349 - in February 2013.
He was awarded PhD in Pediatric Surgery in August 2015 and his doctoral thesis was in the treatment of esophageal atresia in newborns. He was subsequently appointed as a faculty member in the Faculty of Medicine. He has participated in many international conferences in the United States, Germany and France. Published several scientific research papers in the elite international journals.

Dr. Hamed Seleim is renowned by performing an accurate and advanced surgeries for children using laparoscopic techniques instead of traditional surgery, the most famous are: laparoscopic treatment of the hernias, laparoscopic treatment of diaphragmatic hernia and gastro-esophageal reflux. Also laparoscopic partial and total removal of spleen in children with blood disorders. As well as laparoscopic removal of the gallbladder. He also excelled in the treatment of congenital defects in the urethra and cosmetic surgery of children.
