My involvement with Linux has been like a fairy tale for me. I first found out about it when I attended the ICT event in 2010. There I met engineer Khaled Hanafy, the sector manager and he told me they needed someone who could work hard and study even harder. I was unsure of my abilities to be a Linux administrator because at that time I was still a post-graduate trainee at ITI. I boldly told him I was not fully qualified to fit in this position and to handle all that responsibility. He replied that they would certainly be happy to accept someone with a personality such as mine. I was so pleased, and I reminded myself to keep Linux Plus in mind when I became good enough to be a Linux Plus administrator. I think I’m very close to that point because now I feel that I’m talking Linux, not English or Arabic anymore. My managers are also telling me that my troubleshooting abilities are so good. So Linux Plus, wait for me! Although loyalty to my current employers may prevent me from departing , maybe someday, who knows, I may get the chance to join Linux Plus.
