Stella DE Mari, with only two hours away from Cairo, is one of my favorite spots on the Suez canal line. Of course Stella DE Mari is widely known and doesn't need me to comment on it. They offer a lot of packages, whether you want to bring your own food, or want the food package, which usually consists of breakfast and dinner open buffet. Prices are very convenient and not too expensive. It’s the perfect place for families or couples who want to spend a week away from the busy fast pace life in the city.

Last weekend, my husband and I found an awesome deal at Stella Di Mare Golf Hotel. For only $140, we received breakfast and dinner for 2 people, 2 rounds of golf and a hotel room. It was the perfect weekend to go, as the hotel was completely empty. It felt like we were on our own private vacation. The room was modern and the bed was comfortable, but there was no Wi-Fi in our room. The breakfast buffet was basic, but the dinner buffet was filled with many delicious choices (plus, it was empty!). We sat on the patio and enjoyed a private candlelight dinner overlooking the course. Though very small, the pool was nice to relax in after a long morning of golf. Downstairs (in front of golf cart storage), there is a billiards table. Cost was only 50 LE for an hour. The staff was friendly and knew us by name, but the check-out process took too long.

Less than two hours away from Cairo to this lovely retreat. The Stella Golf resort offers a very nice golf course as well as a spectacular spa. The pool is nice but a bit on the small side and the food is usually quite good. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms have fabulous tubs to soak and relax in. It fills up almost every weekend so making reservations in advance is a must.

Stella Di Mare is the perfect resort if you are looking for a place not too far from Cairo. Simply jump on the highway leading to the Dead Sea (Egypt's only proper highway) and in 60 minutes you're there. The beach is nice but the pool even nicer. In fact, the pool is more like a lake, it's the largest swimming pool i've seen in Egypt and is easily accessible at any point thanks to its lake-like edges which gradually carry you into the water one step at a time. The rooms are ok, they could use a bit of a facelift though. The service is also just ok - some of the waiters know their stuff yet others seem to be very inexperienced, it's kind of hit and miss thing ... you sit by the pool and get proper fast service from one, then the next guy wants to be your best friend and know everything about you. Most of their packages include meals and the buffet is generally OK. there is also an Italian restaurant but is usually out of the inclusive meals - in other words, you pay extra for eating there. I don't remember there being wi-fi in the rooms so bring your connect card USB if you have one.

ستيلا من الاماكن اللي في مصر اللي مكن تروحها 1000000 مره و ما تزهقش , بجد المكان ما يتوصفش , يعني اللي بيعجبني فيهم انهم مقسمين المكان لكذا قسم هتلاقي royal club و هتلاقي sea club و كذا حاجه تانيه بس مش فاكرهم , المهم ان كل واحد ليه اسعاره و ليه امتيازاته يعني مثلا ال sea club طبعا باين من اسمه داخل في الباكيج بتاعته كل ما يخص البحر من جيت سكيز لل بنانا بوت و حتي العوامات , هتلاقي ملاعب تينس في royal club و هتلاقي spa و ال spa بتاعتهم وهميه بس غاليه انا رحت مره دفعت 80 يورو , و هو الليله هتلاقيها بتتاروح من 800 ل 900 جنيه دي سعر الاوضه الدبل half board , البوفيه بتاعهم وهمي من احسن البوفيهات في مصر بجد , و ساعات بيعملو يوم في الاسبوع يبقي الاكل بتاع بلد , يعني ممكن تلاقي مره اكل ايطالي بس او اكل مكسيكي بس , لو انت مشترك في kazza royal club بيعملو عرض كويس فيه يعني ممكن تاخد نفس الاوضه الدبل ب 600 جنيه , و الميزه فيه انه قريب , حمامات السباحه بالمناسبه احسن حمامات سباحه في مصر بالمعني الحرفي , الديكورات اللي بيعملوها و المساحات بتاعتها بتبتقي وهميه , من الاخر ده مكان لازم يتراح
