Koshary is an inexpensive, Egyptian vegetarian dish made from noodles, rice, onion, pasta, lentils, tomato sauce and shatta (hot spice). There is no better place to try it than the famous Koshary Abou Tarek. Located downtown, parking can be difficult, but well worth the visit. With only one location, the restaurant is often crowded; nonetheless the service is fast and dishes are typically ready in five minutes!
