National Society General Bank, one of the largest private banks operating in Egypt, was established in 1978 with a focus on corporate banking. With a long-term plan geared towards satisfying its customers, NSGB expanded its retail services. About National Societe General Bank - NSGB
Since its establishment, NSGB has been dedicated towards success and continuous achievements. In 1997, NSGB was the first bank to establish a leasing subsidiary in Egypt, Sogelease Egypt. In 2007, it reached total leased assets of an amount of EGP 2 billion. In 1999, NSGB/SG won the financial advisory mandate for ELNG project which was the biggest project finance ever in Egypt in addition to being a unique transaction in the international market due to its innovative structure that won the Euromoney Best Deal of the Year. The project lasted for five years from 1999 till 2004. In 2003, NSGB won the Euromoney Award for Excellence as the "Best Local Partner in Egypt". In 2005, NSGB was the first bank to establish a Car Fleet Management company in Egypt through its subsidiary, ALD Automotive. . In 2001, NSGB was the first bank to introduce to the Egyptian market the Mobile Banking (Porta Bank). In 2005, NSGB acquired 90% of MIBank shares with a total amount of EGP 2.5 billion. In 2006, NSGB won the Deals of the Year Award from The Banker magazine for the successful acquisition of MIBank. In 2008, NSGB was the first Bank to introduce the consumer finance product in Egypt (CrediNil).
NSGB's vision is to keep close to its clients through offering a wide range of products which serve almost every financial need for Corporates (Groups & Multi-national), medium and small enterprises or individuals with a balanced focus on both corporate and retail banking. To achieve that vision, NSGB expands its network to exceed 145 branches covering 26 governorates, moreover; NSGB keeps enhancing its multi-channels tools to reach its clients through an automated network reaches 290 ATMs in addition to a dedicated call-center available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
